Home remedies using natural ingredients may provide some relief. However, there is no scientific evidence for their usefulness compared with over-the-counter medications.

If an issue such as an infection is causing the earache, it may be better to look at remedies that target the condition at its source rather than focusing on just the earache symptom.

Symptoms of earache
